What behaviours do you need to be reminded or always seem to forget?

For me it’s brushing my teeth after every meal. I’m a shocker for forgetting.
-
*goes on a Google tangent of how many times you should brush your teeth*
I do twice but often will rinse my mouth after food. The main consensus is 2-3 times is fine, it’s more around how long to brush (not too short, not too long or hard) and not to brush immediately after acidic foods.

yeah I’m good in the mornings. Will only remember to brush in the evening if they feel furry lol

I use it as a trick to stop me eating haha. After dinner (but not directly after), I’ll brush so then when others are like hey want some snacks I’m like nah I’m good 😁

I feel you Mon! My best tip for this is when coming into your workspace, bring a full water bottle (I bring a glass and a big water jug).
I also use this app Water Minder as a visual on my phone as to how my hydration levels go throughout the day … and it’s not just for water, if you have a tea, a soda, a smoothie, etc., it tracks those too (though water fills it up faster).
My pro tip is to set your goal super low, like drinking one or two glasses a day. Regularly smash that for the dopamine hit for a few weeks and then increase. I think they say it’s about 3 weeks to build a new habit? Hope that helps 😊

I like to get out and bike, but often lose motivation for it. I also burn really easily and putting on sunscreen is a pain lol … but if I wait too late in the day I’m too tired 🤔
-
I’ve started to run in the morning for that same reason. If I’m not feeling motivated I’m too tired to get out of the house in the evening.
Also, another strategy that helps is reminding yourself you enjoy it and giving yourself permission to go slow and have fun on your ride. New route or ride to your favourite coffee shop etc.
Tell yourself you only need to be out there for 5 minutes – if you aren’t having fun in 5 minutes you can turn around and come home. It’s very rare you will once you get started.
-
Ooh that’s a great strategy! You know what is within 5 minutes biking … KFC 😏
I like the new route idea too. I have been exploring the neighbourhood a bit lately, taking different turns to see where I end up.

Are you in walking distance to the beach and the forest?
I think I would be keener for walks if I still lived in Lyttelton or Brighton.. there is barely anywhere nice to walk close by in my area!. I do enjoy the gardens/hagley park but can’t let the doggo off there. Me and the boyfriend have been thinking of joining the gym but it’s such a big commitment! not to mentions it’s not that cheap.
